How to Clean Curtains According to Fabric Type

Before you wash your curtains, we highly suggest learning their fabric type first. See the specific care routines for each fabric below:

  • Cotton: Wash on gentle mode in the washing machine, then dry on low heat. Remove wrinkles by ironing the curtains while damp.
  • Silk: Hand wash all silk curtains using mild detergent, then air dry them. Iron them while damp to remove wrinkles.
  • Sheer: Wash sheer curtains in delicate mode. When drying, ensure to add terry cloth towels to prevent the fabric from balling up. Hang them out in the sun and stretch the fabric to their original shape to prevent wrinkles.
